Ever felt like "treading the boards" ?
Feel you've got a bit of talent and want to have a go ?

The Threshold Theatre Group was set up to provide a training ground for its parent company, the Norfolk & Norwich Operatic Society.
One of Threshold's objectives is "to train young or inexperienced people to gain a good knowledge of all aspects of operatic and dramatic arts".
The company put on its first production 'West Side Story' in 1995, in 1997 we gained a National Lottery award from the Arts Council. This was used to provide workshops and training for Threshold members.
From its start in 1995 until 2001, Threshold appeared at the Walter Roy Theatre at the Hewett School, Norwich. moving to the prestigious Norwich Playhouse with our production of Sweet Charity in May 2003
Our 2004 production of Spend Spend Spend was an East Anglian amateur premiere. We were honoured to have the attendance of Viv Nicholson, around whose life this fabulous show is based, at the opening night.
In 2007 the Threshold was awarded the NODA shield for best overall production in the district for 'The Hired Man', a moving and powerful musical based on the book by Melvyn Bragg, with music by Howard Goodall.
We have since gone on to perform to critical acclaim 'Jekyll & Hyde', 'The Full Monty', 'Footloose', and 'Hot Mikado'
