AUDITION DETAILS and APPLICATION

Applicants for acting membership of the Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society must audition before a selection panel. Auditions are open and anyone is welcome to audition, whether a current member or not.

Auditions will be held on Sunday 28th September 2008, starting at 10:00am at the West Hall, Hewett School, Cecil Road Entrance, Norwich. ( This is the hall beside the Walter Roy Theatre). Results will be announced on the day when all auditions are complete. Times for each character audition will be announced at the sing-through on Friday 26th September.

Before applying for audition please read the characterisation for each named part that you are thinking of auditioning for.

Please familiarise yourself with the Director's rehearsal schedule.

Application to audition must be made on the appropriate audition slip, either by eMail using the slip below or by post on a form requested from the Production Secretary, Coral Newell - details on the audition slip below. Whichever method is chosen, all applications for audition must be received by Monday 22nd September latest.

Audition Notes:

Jeremy Tustin (Director) and Geoff Davidson (Musical Director) require all audition pieces to be learned. No books or papers will be allowed in the audition hall.

For successful auditionees the first rehearsal will be on Tuesday 30th September at 7:00pm in order that subscriptions (£15) and returnable deposits for books (£45) can be collected. Please bring your cheque books to this rehearsal.
